Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement
Introduction
BillFlow Limited (“BillFlow”) is a fintech company providing innovative invoice and supply finance solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises. Our mission is to make finance simple, fast, and reliable by removing friction from payments and improving business cash flow.
We are committed to acting responsibly and ethically in all of our business dealings and relationships. In line with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, we take a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains.
Our Commitment
At BillFlow, we are dedicated to:
- Acting with integrity, fairness, and respect for human rights.
- Ensuring modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or supply chains.
- Implementing and enforcing effective systems, processes, and policies to prevent exploitation.
- Supporting transparency and openness so that concerns can be raised without fear of reprisal.
Due Diligence & Risk Management
- Recruitment & Employment: Our hiring processes include eligibility and right-to-work checks to safeguard against exploitation, forced labour, or human trafficking.
- Supply Chains: While we consider the risk of modern slavery within our own operations to be minimal, we recognise that higher risks may arise with third-party service providers in jurisdictions with weaker labour protections. We take steps to assess, monitor, and mitigate those risks.
- Counterparty Code of Conduct: We require all counterparties, suppliers, and contractors to adhere to our values, comply with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, and uphold the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This includes:
- Prohibiting forced, trafficked, or child labour.
- Prohibiting discrimination, harassment, or exploitation in the workplace.
- Ensuring fair wages, lawful contracts, and safe working conditions.
- Termination of Business: We will cease working with any partner, supplier, or contractor who cannot demonstrate compliance with these standards.
Training & Awareness
- All BillFlow employees complete mandatory compliance training covering anti-slavery, anti-bribery, whistleblowing, and financial crime.
- Staff in procurement or supplier-facing roles receive additional training to identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery.
- We promote a culture of openness and provide both internal and external channels for whistleblowing.
Governance & Accountability
BillFlow’s Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. Our policies and procedures are reviewed annually to ensure they remain effective, relevant, and aligned with current legislation.
We are committed to continuous improvement in our practices and to working with partners who share our values of integrity, fairness, and respect for human dignity.
